The handmade jewel

Handmade jewelry is not an alternative or a subsitute for factory-made jewelry; it is simply a different way of conceiving a precious object. The handmade jewel originates from the interpretation of a master artisan of technical, artistic and cultural factors, combined to his taste and sensitive ness.

Fabrizio Franzini creates jewels that express, firstly, craftsmanship in their creation, and echoes of a style that recalls antique jewelry without being “copies” of the genuine antique jewels. In his workshop in Milazzo, he creates pieces of jewelry which are original and classic at the same time. For example, he often uses lustrous and opaque yellow gold alternatively, because the warmth of yellow gold enbhances handmade jewelry more than white or red gold .

Fabrizio Franzini creates unique jewels, or at times some articles in a limited number, using the technique known as “ last wax”, and he signs every single jewel. You can view each piece already created, in the photos and drawings, but they are never reproduced unless some designs are changed from the original to guarantee the uniqueness of each strictly handmade article. Fabrizio Franzini will also create jewels in designs suggested- or totally requested- by the client, advising him with an experience that comes from over fifteen years of working in the hand-made creation of jewelry.
